Lead Business Analyst - OCC Digital Platforms
The Lead Business Analyst - OCC Digital Platforms serves as the critical link between OCC Operations, Digital Product, Engineering, Data, Architecture, and Vendor teams to drive digital transformation across airline operational platforms.
This role is responsible for translating complex operational requirements related to Flight Movement, Crew Operations, Flight Planning, Aircraft Operations, and Disruption Management into scalable digital solutions. The incumbent will lead requirement management, process re-engineering, API integration definition, product enhancement initiatives, and support modernization of OCC systems through cloud-native and data-driven technologies.
Key Responsibilities
OCC Digital Product Management
- Partner with OCC business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and identify digitization opportunities.
- Define business capabilities, product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for OCC applications.
- Drive product enhancements across Flight Operations, Crew Operations, Flight Planning, and Operational Recovery platforms.
- Support digital transformation initiatives focused on automation, decision support, and operational efficiency.
- Act as a functional SME for OCC platforms and associated business processes.
Flight Movement & Operations Control
- Develop strong understanding of end-to-end flight movement lifecycle.
- Analyze operational events such as delays, cancellations, diversions, aircraft swaps, and recovery scenarios.
- Define digital solutions supporting flight monitoring, operational alerts, disruption management, and decision support.
- Collaborate with OCC controllers and operational teams to improve operational visibility and situational awareness.
Crew Operations & Recovery
- Understand Crew Planning, Scheduling, Tracking, Pairing, and Recovery processes.
- Define business rules related to crew legality, duty limitations, fatigue monitoring, and disruption recovery.
- Support digital initiatives aimed at crew optimization and operational resilience.
- Translate complex crew operational requirements into scalable technology solutions.
API & System Integration Management
- Analyze and document API requirements across OCC ecosystems.
- Work with engineering teams on REST APIs, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, and Enterprise Integrations.
- Review API specifications, Swagger/OpenAPI documents, payload structures, JSON/XML schemas, and data mapping requirements.
- Define integration requirements across flight operations, crew systems, operational data stores, and enterprise platforms.
Agile Delivery & Product Development
- Create:
- Business Requirement Documents (BRD)

- Acceptance Criteria
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and product reviews.
- Support SIT, UAT, production deployment, and post-production validation.
- Manage requirement traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with product vendors, technology partners, and enterprise teams.
- Conduct requirement workshops and solution review sessions.
- Manage dependencies across business, digital, engineering, architecture, and infrastructure teams.
- Drive issue resolution and stakeholder alignment for critical initiatives.
