How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
The Production Control Lead (PCL) is a critical TechOps role at Delta. In this role, you will prepare incoming aircraft for their scheduled visits. PCL’s will coordinate with all departments involved with the visit to ensure task cards are scheduled appropriately within the visit timeline. The PCL will also monitor the visit progress and reflow task cards within the work order as necessary.
Summary Of Responsibilities (not Comprehensive Of All Tasks)
- Reviews visits at T-7 to ensure visit readiness including materials, daily man-hour requirements, engineering items and task card flow
- Coordinates with all departments to identify and eliminate conflicting maintenance.
- Coordinates daily with the shift/duty manager to ensure the visit plan is achievable with available resources.
- Reviews outgoing shifts completed work and assigns tasks to the oncoming crew.
- Reviews materials shortages daily to identify any concerns to work flow and works with production to find alternative solutions to prevent interruption to visit.
- Reviews post dock data after visit completion; uses data to identify areas and opportunity for improvement that can be applied to future visits.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Must have an FAA Airframe and Power Plant license
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must pass a background check including a government required fingerprint-based criminal history records check
- Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and thereafter submit to DOT mandated random drug and alcohol testing
- Must read, write, speak, and understand English
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Five years of aviation experience
- Prior project management experience
- Prior work experience in the airline industry
- Status as a current Delta employee
- One year of mechanical experience (outside of educational experience)
- Two years of aircraft maintenance experience (outside of educational experience)
- Two years of heavy jet maintenance experience (outside of educational experience)
- Prior electronics/avionics experience or FCC license
