Job Profile
The Aircraft Maintenance Lead Technician position is located in Bay City, WI. As an Aircraft Maintenance Lead Technician, you will work as a member of a team accomplishing many different aspects of aircraft maintenance. The Lead Technician is responsible for the day-to-day activities on the hangar floor. The Lead Technician will interface with Chief Inspector and or the Repair Station Manager to receive priorities for work being conducted by the Repair Station. This position reports to the Repair Station Accountable Manager.

Aircraft Maintenance Lead Responsibilities:
- Review work orders throughout the day for each aircraft in check
- Manage drop in & phase maintenance aircraft to meet Return to Service deadlines
- Review maintenance turnovers from the previous shift
- Perform maintenance tasks as required to support the maintenance function
- Account for all shop tooling and supplies at the end of each shift
- Follow, comply, and enforce all safety rules and regulations
- Utilize knowledge of FARs to ensure the airworthiness of aircraft
- Manage the day-to-day maintenance function of hangar maintenance to meet return to service deadlines
- Communicate maintenance task goals for the day to the team.
- Communicate regularly with the Repair Station Manager regarding work scope updates.
- Work with technicians to develop or enhance their job knowledge and provide on the job training.
- Ensure all material, parts, equipment, and tooling needs are on order, tracking, or available.
- Escalate any needs in this regard to the Repair Station Manager.
- Perform troubleshooting tasks as necessary.
- Positive communication between Maintenance Staff and Management Staff.
- Mentoring and development of Maintenance Staff.
- Execution and completion of repair station maintenance schedules.
- Ensure Maintainer’s consistently log their time on given tasks.
- Ensure repair station parts stock levels are properly maintained.
- Ensure all work is properly carried out IAW technical directives.
- Ensure Maintainer’s properly document all work completed.
- Ensure Maintainer’s are properly trained in use of special tools and ground support equipment.
- Organization and cleanliness of maintenance facilities.
- Assist in maintaining repair station F.O.D. prevention program.
- Train new hires on company equipment.
- Assist Management Staff with Maintainer’s Annual Reviews.
- Assist Management Staff upholding company doctrine.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position is responsible for managing aircraft maintenance inspections.
Qualifications:
- A current/valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate (A&P Certificate)
- Knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems, functions, and interactions, including aircraft accessories, components and other hardware
- Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA regulations
- Thorough working knowledge of all ATA codes
- Formal or OJT Training on Citation and Mooney aircraft preferred
- Strong communication skills with team members and Leadership
- Ability to work as a Team Leader
- Well-developed trouble shooting skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Previous Leadership experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- The ability to read and interpret instructions from manuals and internal RWA documents
- Proficiency in the Windows operating environment
- Physical capability to work in tight spaces, at heights, on-wings, use ladders, operate tugs, operate lifts, and lift weights up to 75lbs
- Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations relating to aircraft maintenance
- A strict adherence to Company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Ability and willingness to work first or second shift, after-hours, overtime as required, weekends and holidays
- Travel may be required
