WHAT YOU WILL DO
Software Development
- Develop custom software solutions, tackling complex technical challenges with creativity and innovation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet their needs and align with evolving technologies.
- Design, develop, and deploy code
- Ensure adherence to coding guidelines, technical processes, and best practices.
- Participate in requirements analysis and design sessions, driving the development of new application features.
Ideating and Designing
- Dive into new technologies and startups to discover opportunities for enhancing the travel industry.
- Support co-innovation workshops with customers.
- Support with client demos, developing prototypes, and proofs-of-concepts, while providing technical insights and guidance.
- Collaborate with clients to identify pain points and uncover new opportunities for innovation.
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching emerging technologies and evaluating their potential impact on SITA and the air traffic industry.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a knack for exploring new tech and tackling business challenges with an agile "try fast, fail fast" approach.
- Actively engaged with cutting-edge tech like Generative AI, and Spatial Computing, uncovering innovative solutions.
- Investigative prowess in exploring emerging technologies and startup landscapes for travel industry application.
- Strong communicator skilled in facilitating discussions, building consensus, and articulating priorities with clarity.
- Thrives in fast-paced, client-centric environments, committed to continual learning and development.
- Experienced in rapid project cycles, empirically testing hypotheses for iterative improvement.
- Versatile in programming languages, cloud technologies, design methodologies, and DevSecOps practices.
- Skilled in web, and microservices development
- Minimum 3 years' software engineering experience, ideally in Java, C++, or similar.
- At least 2 years' involvement in innovation or accelerator settings.
- Bonus: Professional programming certification in a mainstream language.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or engineering.
- Occasional travel will be required to meet with clients
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
- Experience with Java, C++, or similar.
- Experience with REST & Websocket messaging patterns and libraries.
- DevSecOps proficiency with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka and cloud-native deployments (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and Elastic Search.
- Experience with HTML5 frameworks (e.g., Angular).
- Experience with Python and machine learning model training and deployment.
