Role Purpose
Responsible and accountable to support and assist SH to manage, plan and monitor the overall ground operations at the respective station to ensure Malaysia Airlines operates in a safe, secure and in full compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and SOPs. Assistant Station Head is also responsible to assist SH to ensure consistent service delivery in accordance with the company's set service standards and meet or exceed the company's KPIs related to On-Time Performance (OTP), Mishandle Baggage (MHB), Document Violation, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and financial targets.
Key Accountability
- Generally responsible to support Station Head for the airline's overall ground operations at the airport.
- To undertake an oversight function on all outsourced functions perform by appointed GSP and vendors.

- Ensure full and consistent compliance to MASP and local regulatory security requirements
- Plan and conduct periodical assessment to monitor safety and security within his/her area of responsibility to ensure MAB and GSP personnel comply with all security and safety procedures and requirements.
- Responsible to perform periodic oversight assessment on all GSPs to ensure their compliance with the contracted agreement and SLAs.
- To provide recommendations and feedback to SH for any improvement and enhancement to existing SLA prior to any tendering exercise.
- To plan and coordinate with Regional Head, ASTM and GSP, to fulfil all training requirements and development programs, for all AS and GSP staff at the respective station as mandated in GOM.
- To ensure all AS staff training files are properly, accurately updated and maintained, in accordance with the requirements stated in GOM. Training files must be kept in a secured manner and to be made readily available for any audit conducted by ASQA, CAAM or any other local regulators.
- Able to be transferred or seconded if needed to a subsidiary, affiliate, related or an associate company of the Company within the Malaysia Aviation Group, whether it is currently incorporated or to be incorporated at a future date. During transfer, the terms and conditions of service of the subsidiary, affiliate, related or associate company shall apply, unless otherwise stated. In the event of a secondment, the terms and conditions of service of the Company shall apply, unless otherwise informed.
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Diploma in any field with 3 years of working experience.
- SPM/SPMV, qualification in any field with 5 years of working experience.
