As the Assistant Manager, Building Systems (Mechanical), you will oversee a range of responsibilities within the realm of mechanical systems maintenance and improvement. In addition to managing projects and end-of-life initiatives at Singapore Changi Airport, you will collaborate with stakeholders to streamline work processes, suggest enhancements, and implement innovative solutions.
Your duties will extend to conducting studies on predictive maintenance regimes, exploring new technologies with local academia and companies, and participating in digitization and innovation initiatives. Moreover, you will ensure adherence to quality standards, health and safety regulations, and statutory requirements while undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, procurement processing, and budgeting. Your role will also involve providing support in tenancy-related works with complex M&E requirements and assisting in audits for systems under your purview, including ISO, internal, and CAAS audits.
Other job responsibilities:
- Maintaining mechanical systems such as air-conditioning units, chiller plants, smoke control systems, sprinklers, gas flooding systems, water monitors, lifts, escalators, travellators, and pneumatic waste conveyance systems
- Supporting the M&E teams in their innovative efforts, which may include establishing digitalization roadmaps, forging partnership agreements with solution providers, and implementing wireless IoT platforms for sensorization and digital twinning of M&E systems.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years of related Air-conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation system and project management experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of M&E maintenance practices and efficiency standards
- Analytical with strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with a high motivation for work excellence.
- Able to interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of IT network and Power BI would be an advantage
