The City Sales Manager serves as the matrix sales leader primarily responsible for developing a high growth city sales strategy, monitoring and communicating performance updates, and leading all sales efforts to maximize global revenues and market share for a key strategic city by collaborating with internal departments to drive Delta’s success. This is achieved by sharing network growth opportunities, partnering with loyalty on tactics, engaging government affairs, marketing and corporate communications and developing sales and community partnerships. A key driver for market performance will be the collaboration across a variety of field sales teams and the coordination of effective sales tactics to drive premium revenue to Delta in this top corporate market with large corporate and agency accounts.
The position’s commercial objectives include achieving corporate and agency goals at a city level, growing SME revenue through local partnerships, improving market profitability, driving loyalty through Sky Miles and Co-Brand sign-ups and engaging the community through local activations. This position will mine new business opportunities for contracted and loyalty products within the market. The individual will also be the liaison between the Delta Airport Leadership team, the local port authorities, and other civic groups within the community to look out for the best interest of our customers.
This position also involves community engagement by representing Delta and JV partners at local organizations and events and helping to build the Delta brand locally. This position also has assigned accounts with primary responsibilities to include customer business development and relationship management, contract negotiation, implementation and performance against goals. In addition, the City Sales Manager is responsible for orchestrating team selling with internal sales departments including Corporate and Agency Sales Development, Revenue Management, Sales Operations, Market Development as well as U.S. based and international based DL, JV and SkyTeam partners. The City Sales Manager must be able and willing to reside in the designated market.
Key Responsiblites
- Lead a portfolio of corporate accounts specifically in Orlando and Tampa
- Improve revenues and market share with a focus on premium revenue for Delta's corporate customers.
- Build, maintain, and lead corporate relationships, ensuring detailed contract negotiation, implementation, and performance evaluation.
- Prospect and develop new opportunities within the portfolio.
- Develop a high-growth city sales strategy and monitor performance updates.
- Collaborate with internal departments to drive Delta’s success by sharing network growth opportunities and partnering on dedication tactics.
- Engage in government affairs, marketing, and corporate communications to develop sales and community partnerships.
- Coordinate effective sales tactics across field sales teams to drive premium revenue in this top corporate market with large healthcare, tech and music industry corporate accounts.
- Achieve company goals at a city level, grow SME revenue through local partnerships, improve market profitability, and cultivate dedication through Sky Miles and Co-Brand sign-ups.
- Engage the community through local activations and represent Delta at local organizations and events.
- Serve as liaison between the Delta Airport Leadership team, Orlando and Tampa Airports, local port authorities, and other civic groups to prioritize customer interests.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Demonstrated track record of having managed a successful sales portfolio, as well as new business development.
- Strong ability to influence, demonstrated collaboration skills and excellent communication and presentation skills (both oral and written) are required.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze various data and apply findings to build action plans that drive revenue and facilitate achievement of performance objectives.
- A focus on diversity and equity; including the ability to successfully work with customers around the world and to be culturally aware of business conduct protocol.
- Strong public speaking skills, including experience in making product and services presentations to decision makers and group forums.
- Must be able to manage change with resilience and display tremendous drive and commitment.
- Strong skills in negotiation, time management, organization, planning, and be a self-starter.
- Must be available to work additional hours and/or days as needed, including weekends on occasion.
- Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and strongly prefer knowledge of Delta's Reservation System.
- Must be able and willing to travel to support assigned accounts.
- Must be able to work effectively in a virtual office with minimal supervision but also work well in a team environment.
- Possess an overall knowledge of the Rules of the Road.
- Must be performing satisfactory in current position.
- In-depth knowledge of functional technology platforms including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CDS/Prism, Tableau, GAIN, SFDC and other internal Delta Systems.
- Must possess a current passport and have the ability and flexibility to travel and represent Delta at account meetings and industry functions both domestically and internationally.
- Must reside/relocate to Orlando or Tampa
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
