We are looking for an indirect tax professional with exposure to EMEA VAT to join our team in a newly created role.
Your Responsibilities
You will support the business with implementation of OneSource Determination and Compliance tools in multiple countries. This work will include:
- Leading the project and coordination of the work ensuring the timelines are met for the overall success of the project.
- Documenting the VAT processes and to produce written materials for the sales, IT and finance teams.
- Becoming the subject matter expert on the OneSource VAT system.
- Reviewing the accounting and operating systems to ensure that they are set up with tax in mind and identify improvements and process changes.
- Testing of the systems and work on VAT scenarios.
- Take ownership of creation of VAT codes.
- Business partnering with various stakeholders.
- Managing various indirect tax projects and initiatives, including coordinating and working with different stakeholders to ensure that VAT is correctly dealt with.
- Review e-invoicing requirements and consideration of solutions.
- Support business teams on day-to-day questions related to indirect tax and compliance obligations.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- UK and EU VAT experience, gained in either in-house, HMRC or through a professional firm.
- VAT system implementation experience required.
- Proven high quality delivery and attention to detail.
- Experience working as a team and leading project teams or workstreams desired.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand processes and systems.
- Understanding of or practical experience with VAT laws in EU countries.
- A diligent and motivated individual, able to work with the team and on their own.
