Join Frontier Airlines in Phoenix as an A&P Aircraft Mechanic supporting our Airbus A320 fleet. You’ll perform hands-on aircraft maintenance that helps keep our operation safe, compliant and departure-ready while building qualifications through structured training and on-the-job experience.
Shift: Varies based on business needs. Schedules are awarded through a union shift bid process by seniority. Recruiters and hiring leaders will review shift details during the pre-screen and interview process.
Compensation
Base pay: $32.00 per hour
Additional hourly premiums, as applicable:
- $6.00/hour — Airframe (A) license and Powerplant (P) license
- $1.00/hour — Run/Taxi qualified after training
- $1.00/hour — Graveyard shift differential

What You’ll Do At Frontier Airlines
- Perform and assist with approved aircraft maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations, Frontier procedures and direction from the lead mechanic or station supervisor.
- Perform maintenance checks, inspections, repairs, component work and other assigned maintenance on Airbus A320-series or similar transport-category aircraft.
- Research the information and technical material required to complete scheduled aircraft work.
- Complete and maintain accurate aircraft maintenance records, including logbook pages, work cards, non-routines, engineering documents and other required documentation.
- Enter required information into maintenance tracking systems, including FMIS entries as applicable.
- Comply with applicable MEL/CDL/NEF program requirements and procedures.
- Maintain positive tool control and immediately report lost or found tools to management.
- Maintain clean maintenance and work areas, follow “clean as you go” practices and support FOD prevention.
- Operate authorized ground support equipment and airport-qualified passenger vehicles when properly trained, endorsed and qualified.
- Perform engine runs and aircraft taxi operations when trained and authorized by Frontier Airlines.
- Coordinate assigned activities with the lead mechanic or station supervisor.
- Complete required maintenance training and maintain qualifications as defined in the GMM 100 Maintenance Training Program before performing applicable functions and tasks.
- Follow approved published procedures at all times unless a proper deviation has been authorized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Vehicle And Airport Operations Requirements
When operating vehicles within an airport operations movement area, employees must hold a current and valid U.S. state-issued motor vehicle driver’s license, Frontier Airlines driving endorsement, required airport qualification and a signed movement-area limitation Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on file.
When operating passenger vehicles on public roads or at offsite facilities outside the airport operations area, employees must have a valid U.S. state-issued motor vehicle driver’s license in their possession for three years, a Frontier Airlines driving endorsement and required airport qualification.
What You’ll Bring To Frontier Airlines
- FAA mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
- Ability to acquire, hold, maintain and use a valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
- Two years of experience performing maintenance in one or more of the following areas on A320-series or large similar-type aircraft: maintenance checks, engine changes, landing gear changes, structural repairs, flight-control rigging or component maintenance; or successful completion of an accredited A&P mechanic training course.
- Ability to obtain taxi and run-up qualification on all applicable aircraft types within six months of assignment to Line Maintenance when directed by management.

Interior Crew Mechanic (Airframe): Additional Qualifications
For Interior Crew assignments:
- FAA mechanic certificate with Airframe rating.
- Two years of experience performing maintenance in one or more of the following areas on A320-series or large similar-type aircraft: maintenance checks, engine changes, landing gear replacement, structural repairs, flight-control rigging or component maintenance; or successful completion of an accredited A&P mechanic training course.
- Ability to obtain taxi and run-up qualification on all applicable aircraft types within six months of assignment to Line Maintenance when directed by management.
- Ability to complete required differences training.
- Ability to plan, organize and administer workloads to subordinates.
- Ability to perform extremely strenuous physical work involving objects weighing more than 100 pounds occasionally and more than 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to remove, repair and reinstall aircraft interiors, including seats, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, ceilings and flooring.
