Role Introduction
Reports to: Crew Scheduling Executive
Join Cathay Pacific as a Crew Scheduling Officer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing crew schedules and rosters, supporting workforce planning and analytics, collaborating with operational teams, and ensuring compliant, efficient crew operations that support our global flight network.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Planning, Crew Planning, Crew Operations, Inflight Service Department (ISD), Air Hong Kong (AHK), and other stakeholders to ensure smooth pairing production
- Support annual budgeting, scenario studies, and crew planning analysis and forecasting
- Develop crew pairings and rosters in compliance with regulatory and company requirements while optimizing costs
- Respond to crew enquiries regarding rosters, pairings, and bidding processes.
- Generate reports from JCP/JCR systems and perform data analysis to support scheduling decisions
- Identify operational issues and provide feedback to improve scheduling processes and production efficiency
- Contribute to team performance, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational effectiveness
- Rotate across different Crew Scheduling functions to broaden expertise and support business needs
- Assist with post-roster, post-pairing activities, and other crew resource functions during disruptions
- Maintain technical knowledge and perform additional duties delegated by Crew Scheduling management
Requirements
- Tertiary education
- Knowledge of Approved Flight Time Limitations Scheme (AFTLS) would be advantageous
- Good command of both spoken and written English
- Customer-focused, high change-oriented and flexible personality
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good analytical ability and a good team player
- Good at Excel and Word or equivalent
- Ability to work under pressure
- Minimum of 2 years’ airline experience
