How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities)
The IFEC Technical Program Manager leads complex aircraft engineering, certification, and fleet modification programs supporting Delta's Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) systems and related onboard technologies. This role serves as the primary integrator between Engineering, Certification, FAA stakeholders, Operations, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Technology teams, OEMs, and suppliers to ensure successful delivery of aircraft modification programs from concept through certification, installation, and fleet deployment.
- Lead end-to-end program management for aircraft engineering, certification, and fleet modification initiatives, ensuring successful execution from program concept through fleet deployment.
- Develop and maintain integrated program schedules and governance processes encompassing engineering design, FAA certification activities, supplier deliverables, aircraft installations, testing, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders including Aircraft Engineering, Fleet Programs, Maintenance Planning, Supply Chain, Material Operations, Flight Operations, Network Operations, Technology teams, OEMs, suppliers, and regulatory authorities to drive program alignment and execution.
- Manage program scope, budget, schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes while providing executive-level reporting, business updates, and strategic recommendations.
- Develop certification strategies and oversee compliance activities to ensure engineering deliverables, technical documentation, installation packages, and certification artifacts meet FAA and Delta requirements while supporting continuous process improvements.

- Strong knowledge of aircraft engineering, certification processes, FAA regulations, STC programs, and engineering change management.

- Strong business acumen and strategic planning skills.

- Vendor and supplier management capabilities.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and project portfolio management tools.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining safety, quality, compliance, schedule, and budget objectives.
- Leadership and team development capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of program management, project management, engineering, certification, or technical leadership experience in aviation, aerospace, regulated industries, or similarly complex technical environments.
- Experience managing cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Experience developing executive-level communications, business cases, program plans, and performance metrics.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience leading IFEC, connectivity, avionics, cabin systems, aircraft modification, or aircraft certification programs.
- Knowledge of airline operations, maintenance, reliability programs, and Delta policies/procedures.
- Experience managing OEM and supplier relationships.
- PMP Certification.
