The General Counsel Office (GCO) at easyJet ensures legal, regulatory, and contractual compliance while protecting the business and customers. What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Head of Legal (Corporate, Finance, Procurement & Ops), this role provides essential legal support across various teams including Strategy, Sustainability, Treasury, Fleet, Engineering & Maintenance, and Facilities. It is ideal for a senior-level transactional lawyer seeking to broaden their experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include supporting strategic corporate projects, advising on financing and security arrangements, collaborating with the Sustainability team on ESG goals, advising on fleet transactions, supporting procurement processes, and managing an extensive property portfolio. Additionally, the role involves contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the legal team.
What You'll Bring To The Team
You should be an experienced corporate lawyer, either in the UK or with an equivalent qualification. Ideally, you possess finance and commercial contracting expertise. Your significant in-house experience, whether gained directly or through client secondments, is a key asset. You excel at understanding the commercial landscape, effectively cutting through complexities to identify core issues and prioritize tasks. Multitasking is a strength, allowing you to manage competing priorities and intricate scenarios. You're proactive, self-motivated, and thrive in fast-paced environments, often taking the initiative to resolve challenges. Building strong relationships is your forte, with a history of earning trust and openness from others.
You're unafraid to express your views but also highly respectful of differing perspectives, consistently acting in the best interests of easyJet. Location & Hours of Works
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be
40 hours per week. Hybrid working with 3 days in the office.
