Job Summary
Airbus is embarking on one of its most critical industrial and supply chain integrations to date, after taking over a vital Tier 1 aerostructures supplier. Our objective is to integrate this complex business into the core Airbus organization, while safeguarding the daily continuity of operations and global supply chain. Central to this monumental effort is the expansion of our Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system, replacing legacy tools with a unified SAP S/4 HANA digital ecosystem.
The Mission
In this context, a vacancy for a Planning Product Owner (M/F) in Belfast has arisen. The newly acquired Belfast site focuses on the A220 wings and A220 mid fuselage components. As a Product Owner, you will strategically architect and drive the design & deployment of SAP S/4 HANA. Your scope will encompass demand management, MRP chain behind the cornerstone of the process.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
- Drive the delivery of the Planning team.
- Steer collaboration and alignment between Belfast Operations stakeholders (key users, executives), Process Owners and Information Management teams all along the project, from early discovery phase up to entry into service.
- Enable an efficient implementation of new processes and Airbus digital tools, aligned with SAP standards and Airbus global strategy.
- Perform in-depth analysis of current organization, processes and IT solutions.
- Assess and deliver the SAP S/4 HANA based solution. Collaborate with other Airbus S/4 projects to benefit from synergies and harmonize solutions.
- Deploy the SAP S/4 HANA solution together with the surrounding Airbus tool chain. Contribute to the deployment strategy elaboration. Perform business transformation and ensure business adoption, especially via business acceptance tests. Prepare and execute data migration and entry into service. Orchestrate hypercare to support operations once deployment is done.
- All along the project, focus on Planning scope, while ensuring the integration with other domains (Finance, Procure & Supply, Manufacturing Engineering, Shopfloor, Logistics, ...). Manage the collaboration with other teams, inside and outside the Belfast project.
ABOUT YOU
- Be educated to degree level in Informatics, Manufacturing Engineering, Production or Supply-chain, together with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Aerospace or related complex industries (e.g., Automotive, Defence)
OR
- Be educated to HNC level in Informatics, Manufacturing Engineering, Production or Supply-chain, together with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in Aerospace or related complex industries (e.g., Automotive, Defence).
- Global supply-chain end to end business understanding. Planning detailed knowledge. Knowledge of additional domains and experience in Operations are a plus.
- Deep understanding of SAP supply-chain modules. S/4 proficiency, both in terms of solution and deployment methodology. SAP certifications are considered as a plus.
- Previous experience in SAP transitions during corporate carve-ins/integrations is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in AI applications to boost efficiency
- Good stakeholders management, ability to negotiate and find the win-win solution
- Highly autonomous, transparent leader who excels at senior-level negotiation, conflict resolution, and driving "win-win" solutions across cross-functional and newly integrated organizational borders.
- Ability to work in a demanding multi-national environment, including external partners.
- Good communication skills (written and oral). Ability to translate complex data into clear documentation to guide alignment and decision.
- Proven track record in performing change management.
- Mastery of classical “waterfall” project management and experience with SAFe/Agile frameworks
- Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in French and/or German is a distinct advantage.
This role requires a level of spoken and/or written English that is necessary to carry out the duties of the position effectively. Equivalent qualifications or demonstrable experience will be considered.
