Job Title: Air (Import & Export Air Freight) Operations Coordinator
Job Location: Chicago, Illinois
As an Air Operations Coordinator you will be responsible for the movement of our customer’s air freight shipments. You will be the main point of contact for coordination between customer’s shipment imports/exports, customs brokers, and shipping carriers.
To coordinate Import & manage Export Airfreight bookings for Motorsport and Event shipments, to monitor all consignments from point of arrival for imports and export departure for all export airfreight movements.
To be experienced in Import & Export Air freight processes, booking space capacity with airlines, experienced with aviation security procedures, DG experience & TSA processes for aircargo is preferable.
Operational CW1 (CargoWise) experience preferable
To manage all file overheads to ensure files costs are accrued and recorded with correct vendors, supplier invoices processed for payment and costs recorded to CW1
To manage all files to ensure all files are uplifted and post delivery or post event and completed, milestones are updated and invoiced as requested
To coordinate day to day operations with the team to ensure all works tasks and objectives are completed in the timeline required
To oversee and collaborate with the team to ensure all operational overviews and pre alerts are managed and completed to complete operational excellence.
The role is office based at DGF, ORD as a Monday - Friday position with a hybrid of WFH days, however around peak race periods out of hours and weekend work and possible domestic travel will be requested to cover live Motorsport events
Skills / Requirements:
•Exceptional customer service skills
•Detail oriented and strong follow-up skills
•Proficient with Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
•Air freight industry experience preferred
•Cargo Wise systems knowledge is a plus
Pay Range:
$68,722.50 - $91,630.00+ (Based on Experience)
