Job Overview And Responsibilities
The Analyst's role, within the Sales Resources Group, centers on facilitating the strategic development and analysis of the entire Agency/TMC/Corporate portfolio for designated markets/regions. This extends to supporting the development and management of reporting to provide actionable insights for both the sales teams and the leadership team. The core objective is to ensure the efficient operation of sales reporting, the provision of standardized sales reports and dashboards, and the timely delivery of reporting for all managed incentive programs. Additionally, the role encompasses responsibilities related to sales systems administration, including the management of sales data and systems, as well as the administration of sales incentives, including contracting, audits, and payments.
- Supports the development and implementation of Agency/TMC/Corporate programs, and performs analyses that evaluates sales performance, support business development efforts, and identifies opportunities to increase program efficiencies
- Support and/or manages assigned portfolio of Agency/TMC/Corporate corporate programs, and share actionable intelligence with front-line sellers and other internal & external stakeholders, to drive improvements in sales performance
- Collaborates with other commercial divisions, including RM, Network, etc. and internal/external stakeholders to improve overall performance
- Manages and drives efficiencies of the overall Agency/TMC/Corporate contract management and implementation process with IKC and relevant stakeholders improving quality and internal service level
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
- 2 years of experience in analysis of airline such as sales, network, revenue management, marketing, financial planning, or operations strategy; or other relevant commercial experience
- Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Exposure to SQL and Relational databases
- Excel, Word, PPTX skills
- Foundational knowledge of revenue drivers for airline and B2B sales
- Effective time management for multiple projects and deadlines
- Understanding of revenue management and network levers and metrics
- Ability to communicate insights to broad audience including field sales managers, commercial leaders, and customers
- Ability to collaborate on design of analytical approach to projects and identification of key information needed to support project objective
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts
- Must be legally authorized to work in Japan for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English and Japanese (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
- Master's degree or equivalent experience
- Work in multiple departments that drive revenue performance of airlines
- Expertise with United commercial and sales data sources
- Advanced Data visualization capabilities i.e. PBI, Spotifre, etc.
