Role Description
To support the Flight Safety function in ensuring effective safety oversight through audits, inspections, risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and safety performance management. The role will be responsible for driving adherence to regulatory requirements, supporting the Safety Management System (SMS), and promoting continuous improvement across operational safety processes.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification
- Graduate from a recognized university.
Preferred Qualification
- Degree, Diploma, or Certification in Aviation, Safety Management, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 7-10 years of overall experience in the aviation industry.
- Experience in flight safety, safety assurance, compliance monitoring, audit management, quality assurance, operational safety, or risk management functions.
- Hands-on experience in conducting audits, inspections, surveillance activities, and corrective action follow-ups.
- Exposure to Safety Management Systems (SMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), safety performance monitoring, hazard management, and risk assessment processes.
- Experience in working with cross-functional stakeholders to drive regulatory compliance and safety improvement initiatives.
Preferred Background
- Experience in Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations, compliance, or oversight.
- Experience in Ground Handling Operations within an airline, airport, or aviation services environment.
- Exposure to DGCA, ICAO, and IATA regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and publish the annual Audit Plan.
- Ensure timely conduct of audits and adherence to the approved Audit Plan.
- Participate as a member of the audit team for conducting audits, inspections, and surveillance activities.
- Follow up on audit, inspection, and surveillance findings to ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Develop, review, and update audit and inspection checklists.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable DGCA regulations and company standards.
- Conduct and participate in Safety Risk Assessments.
- Maintain risk assessment records and supporting documentation.
- Monitor and follow up on mitigation actions arising from risk assessments.
- Maintain records of hazard reports and ensure timely follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.
- Analyze and finalize Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) in coordination with relevant departments.
- Monitor safety performance trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Support safety data analysis and reporting activities.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System.
- Maintain safety and quality databases and records.
- Participate in safety review meetings and monitor closure of agreed actions.
- Assist in the preparation of safety meetings, presentations, bulletins, and circulars.
- Assist in updating Flight Safety manuals, audit checklists, circulars, and bulletins.
- Support Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) initiatives and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Flight Safety or Deputy Chiefs of Flight Safety.
