We are looking for a Senior Operations Supervisorbased in México- AIFA Airport.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
Sr Ops Supervisor will oversee and supervise all aspects of cargo operations at within Mexico, leading a team of OPSmembers at NLU (AIFA Airport) . The role involves ensuring compliance with airport and customs regulations, IATA cargo handling standards and DHL policies, as well as supervise aircraft turnaround, inventory control, and 3rd party supervision: Dispatch, Ground Handling Services and Warehouse Handling. This position requires experience in cargo airline operations, particularly with aircrafts like B757 and B767, or other wide and narrow-body freighters. Identify deviations and improvements in operational processes, generating solution proposals. Fluency in English is essential.
Your Taks:
·Operations Supervision:
oSupervise day-to-day cargo operations at NLU airport.
oEnsure timely and efficient handling of cargo: Export and Import.
oMonitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational excellence and compliance with DHL and IATA standards.
oCheck Build Up process ensuring ULD and cargo are handled according to DHL standards. ULD optimization volumes.
oAnswer and follow cargo requirements by Customer Service, including tracking inbound and outbound shipments.
oMonitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operations.
·Aircraft Turnaround:
oOversee and coordinate all activities related to aircraft turnaround, ensuring quick and safe operations.
oSupervise Ground Handling and DHL ramp teams during the unloading/loading of cargo, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and efficient use of time.
oEnsure all cargo is properly secured and that weight and balance requirements are met according to DHL standards.
oAddress and resolve any operational issues with 3rd party providers promptly: follow-up plans corrective/preventive.
oLead investigations into any incidents or accidents related to operations and implement corrective actions.
·Inventory Management:
oEnsure accurate record-keeping and reporting of airline inventory within the warehouse and ramp. Stock control.
oImplement best practices for ops supplies control to minimize losses and ensure efficient use of resources.
·Cargo Handling:
oOversee the handling of standard and special cargo, including dangerous goods, live animals, perishables, oversized shipments, etc.
oEnsure that all shipments is handled according to regulatory and safety requirements.
oCoordinate with all relevant staff to ensure smooth cargo handling.
oSupport Customers and ACS with any operational requirement.
oImplement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the safe handling and transportation of all cargo.
oConduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and DHL requirements.
Qualifications & Key Requirements

Educational Qualifications
|
Bachelor´s degree in logistics, supply chain, aviation cargo or passenger field desirable.
|
Expected (Years of) Experience
|
Minimum of 3 years of experience in airline cargo operations or similar responsibilities. Including team management and aircraft turnaround.
Experience in supervise cargo operations in compliance with IATA standards and Mexican airport/customs regulations.

English and Spanish

Special Certifications
|
Desirable IATA Dangerous Goods Cat 6, Live Animals, Warehouse Build Up Advance, TACT Rules
