Viva Aerobus is currently searching for a Financial Business Partner Sr. Manager based at the corporate headquarters in Mexico City.
The Financial Business Partner Sr. Manager is an essential finance team member who is pivotal in steering organizational strategy through financial expertise. This role involves extensive collaboration with senior management and various departments to align financial strategies with broader business objectives and drive growth and performance. Responsibilities include providing strategic forecasts and analyses that inform critical decisions, overseeing financial frameworks, and enhancing decision-making through actionable financial insights. The Analysis and Financial Strategy Business Partner Sr. Manager will champion initiatives that improve operational and financial processes and develop best practices to foster business efficiency. Acting as a key advisor to senior leaders, this position ensures that financial practices are fully integrated with organizational goals and initiatives, promoting a holistic understanding of the company’s financial health. This role demands a proactive approach in bridging finance with other sectors of the company, enhancing financial understanding across the firm, and supporting the overarching business goals.
His or her primary objectives include:
- Strategic Alignment and Decision Support: Work closely with business leaders to align financial strategies with corporate objectives, providing financial insights that drive strategic business decisions.
- Financial Analysis and Performance Management: Conduct detailed financial analyses to monitor and report on business performance. Develop predictive models and scenario analysis to support strategic planning and risk management.
- Business Case Development: Lead the financial assessment of potential investments and initiatives, providing detailed business cases to support decision-making.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong relationships with key business leaders and stakeholders to enhance business transparency and collaboration.
- Change Management and Process Improvement: Drive change initiatives that enhance financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, managing financial risks strategically.
The Candidate:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial roles with a strong emphasis on business partnering, strategic planning, and performance management. Experience in a leadership role within finance, demonstrating the ability to drive business change and influence decision-making across various levels of an organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or similar are highly advantageous.
- Bilingual Spanish/English
- Previous aviation experience is highly desirable.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial instincts for making strategic business decisions.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategies that align with the business's long-term goals.
- Analytical Capability: Proficient in analyzing complex data to support business strategy and decision-making.
- Challenge: Skills in challenging the status quo and pushing for continuous improvement.
- Negotiation: Effective negotiation skills to ensure the best outcomes in business deals and partnerships.
- Influence: Ability to influence decisions and actions at all levels of the organization.
