Northrop Grumman's Chief Information Office is seeking a Next Gen Technology - IT Operations Analyst.
This position can be performed as a virtual telecommuter.
The incumbent will develop computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards. He/she will establish and document system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.
Additional roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Perform as a Windows Systems Administrator.
- Manage and maintain secure operations of Windows servers and workstations.
- Install, harden, and patch Windows operating systems.
- Develop and document technical procedures.
- Read, modify, and create shell script and scripts in various other languages.
- Learn new technologies on own and work effectively independently, while coordinating actions as required.
- Interact with and successfully utilize boards-of-approval to maintain required security controls and configuration management.
- Perform technical research on Information Technology topics as requested, and produce presentations and recommendations.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate's degree and 7 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or Master’s degree and 3 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.
- Experience managing Windows Server OS.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management, Exchange, and MS SQL.
- Solid understanding of remediating security vulnerabilities and experience with hardening Windows.
- VMware and ESXi (6.x or higher) configuration and management experience.
- Windows administration experience; Windows Server 2012/2016 experience; and Active Directory management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in IS related field.
- Experience with Servers and storage hardware installation and maintenance.
- Solid writing skills and experience with using SharePoint sites for documentation.
- Experience maintain systems in support of Alteryx and Tableau is a plus.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
