As Network Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving SAS’s strategic decisions by optimizing our route portfolio to meet the changing needs of our customers. Working closely with a highly collaborative team as well as internal and external stakeholders, you will help shape the future of SAS by developing and executing market strategies, analyzing route profitability, and identifying new business opportunities in the short-haul markets.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Optimize seat capacity and scheduling to maximize route profitability and enhance SAS's market position.
- Analyze market demand, competitive landscape, and supply conditions within your route portfolio.
- Identify business opportunities that drive both revenue growth and cost efficiencies.
- Propose and implement strategic route adjustments and tactical changes based on market analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop tools and processes that improve decision-making across the Network team.
- Engage with internal stakeholders such as Revenue Management, Sales, Finance, and Public Relations, as well as external partners, including airports and tourism boards.
To be successful, we believe you should have:
- Educational Background: A master’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience in management consulting, business development, or a similar role.
- Analytical and Strategical Expertise: Proven track record in business analysis, market research, and strategy development. Proactive and result oriented with significant drive for continuous improvement.
- Collaborative Mindset: A team player with a positive, can-do attitude and an ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders on all levels of the organization.
- Communication Skills: Ability to distill complex data into actionable insights and communicate them effectively across the organization.
- Languages: Fluent in English (mandatory) and proficiency in one of the Scandinavian languages (preferred).
- Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Airline industry Experience: A plus if you have previous experience from the airline industry and have a good understanding of airline economics and how to drive customer value
