Role Purpose
We are looking for a Regional Service Desk Agent to join our Information & Technology team at Menzies Aviation, based at Sydney International Airport. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality IT support and troubleshooting to our employees across the region.
What You'll Be Doing
- Respond to and resolve IT-related enquiries and incidents in a timely and efficient manner
- Provide first-line support for a range of hardware, software and network issues
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all support activities
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate technical specialists
- Assist with the deployment and configuration of new IT equipment and systems
- Provide training and guidance to users on the effective use of IT systems and applications
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a similar IT support or service desk role
- Extensive knowledge in AD360, Service Now, Microsoft Intune and AVD.
- Experience implementing and supporting Meraki devices and networking.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Familiarity with a range of hardware, software, and network technologies
- Certification in ITIL or similar IT service management framework is desirable
- A passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning
Technical Skill set
- Hands-on Meraki SD-WAN and Cloud Managed Security network technologies to implement and troubleshoot.
- Experienced with Airport based LAN connectivity infrastructure.
- Good knowledge of VLAN technologies in a multi-vendor environment.
- In-depth technical skills to support VOIP systems spanning multiple countries
- Deep understanding of Wi-Fi protocols/ security encryption to install, support and troubleshoot Wireless communication environments.
- Working knowledge of Azure, Google and Amazon cloud SAAS products
- Good understanding and practical experience of firewalls within the Meraki MX appliance.
- Extensive working knowledge of Windows and Chrome OS
- Good practical understanding of Apple IOS systems
