This role is supporting the cargo operations; and dealing with all cargo office requirements in South Korea as listed below.
Responsibilities:
- Accept dangerous goods for transport by Air Canada in accordance with Company, Transport Canada and local CAD.
- Manage station ULD inventories and liaise with Cargo Network Control YYZ, GHA, trucking companies, to ensure that sufficient equipment to support both passenger and cargo operations.
- Implement load plan and coordinate with warehouse / ramp team to ensure best use of available space/weight for each flight.
- Plan load and entry into weight & balance systems. Monitor and coordinate ramp activities.
- Answer enquiries from customers on both import and export, and enquiries from other stations with transit cargo via South Korea.
- Handle irregularities and operational disruptions.
- Maintain and arrange replenishment of the office’s forms, labels and stationery inventories and other administrative supports.
- Monitor the ULD build-up of high value / hi-tech product shipments to prevent incidents of pilferage while goods are within the cargo terminal facility.
- Coordinate bookings with customers, entries into the system before flight; close and verify airwaybills after flights under manager’s supervision.
- Able to work in ramp for loading supervision.
- Able to work under roster.
- Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
- Coordinate with GHA, sales teams on the ULD build up to maximize space and weight utilization.
- Ensure cargo safety and security through checking all documents of each shipment to be compliant to AC standards and SOP.
- Support the transit cargo from other origins in APAC in terms of documents, build up and operational compliance.
- Coordinate with all parties including GHA and take necessary actions such as rebooking cargo, in cases of aircraft on ground due to maintenance.
- Meet GHA representative at his level for rapport.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree.
- Minimum airline experience 5 years and/or other relevant industry experience.
- Sound knowledge and proficiency of computer skills, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
- High level of organizational skills and inter-personal skills, and sensitive to numbers; team player.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan workload and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
- Proven customer orientation and ability to work with internal and external customers.
- Fluent in English, both oral and in writing.
