Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join their team and help manage the accounting operations of their SaaS company. This role requires a strong background in accounting principles, leadership experience, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The Assistant Controller will oversee the accounting team, maintain the integrity of financial records, and support the VP of Finance with reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Management:Oversee daily accounting functions, including cash management, payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
Month-End Close: Manage the financial close process, including balance sheet reconciliations and revenue recognition (ASC 606).
Cash Flow & Compliance: Assist in cash flow forecasting, lender compliance, and financial reporting.
Team Leadership: Mentor and lead the accounting team, ensuring high performance and professional growth.
Internal Controls & Audits:Strengthen financial processes, support audits, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Reporting & Analysis: Generate financial reports and assist in preparing management reports and presentations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with 3+ years in a managerial role.
- 2+ years of experience in a SaaS environment.
- Proficiency in GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, etc.).
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
