L3Harris is seeking a RF and Communications System Engineer to join our talented team supporting the design and manufacturing of products that provide critical information anytime, anywhere. As a system engineer you will be directly involved in the design, integration, and test of advanced satellite communication links, digital telemetry, signal processing, and encryption technology. Providing communication technology expertise, leadership and mentorship. Ability to synthesize new technology application concepts, and systems architecture developments. Ability to work with staff in preparation of program reviews, briefings, and technical reports. Effectively lead technology development teams in quick-reaction capability programs. Collaborate with engineering and business development staff to pursue new business opportunities for communications technology and systems integration. Essential Functions:
- Lead development teams in defining requirements, system concepts and architectures
- Lead preparation and presentation of system requirements reviews
- Coordinate with design teams to ensure architecture and system design meets intended requirements
- Prepare and present technical data at internal and customer reviews
- Identify new opportunities to leverage L3Harris expertise and capabilities
- This position may require travel up to 10% of the time (post-COVID).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- Experience in RF Design and Architecture.
- Experience with standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and signal analyzers.
- Active Secret security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar technical degree (STEM)
- Experience with project planning and/or proposal activities.
- Experience preparing presentation materials, documentation, and presenting technical designs internally and customer facing
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- Experience evaluating requirements and writing technical proposals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Experience in requirements definition and allocation, RF communications design of wideband links and satellite to ground interface
- Cognizance of impacts of Information Assurance requirements on communications systems implementations
- Satellite link budget analysis experience
- Understanding of satellite CONOPS
- Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $147,000.00 - $273,000.00 (salary ranges in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
