In this role, you will:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the inventory and warehousing activities in support of the Extended Docking Work Periods (EDWP) and the Fleet Maintenance Facility (FMF)
- Maintain the materials list and tool control in support of the Extended Docking Work Period
- Maintain accurate records of:
- Maintain related documentation and Quality Assurance certification as required by the C-23-VIC-)/AM-001(Quality Assurance and Safety in Submarines – VICTORIA Class)
- Initiate requisition requirements through ERP system with relevant technical requirements to allow procurement team to source through supply chain.
- Liaise with procurement to ensure goods and services are delivered on time; advise the project if goods and services are late and develop mitigation actions.
- Organize and monitor heavy lift evolutions.
- Act on behalf of the SPTATE Manager in their absence
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate brings:
- You hold a minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- You hold APICs, Supply Chain certifications (considered an asset)
- You have experience (3+ years) in a warehouse environment in a similar role.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word
- You have excellent organizational and time management skills; great attention to detail and accuracy.
- You have experience in the following areas:
- Methods and practices used to receive, store, issue, transport, and distribute material.
- Data entry
- Warehousing, stock control, and inventory management
- Control of Documentation
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (such as IFS)
- Department of National Defence (DND) supply chain processes and Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) (an asset)
- Operation of MHE, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. (An asset – additional training will be provided)
- Workplace Hazardous Management Information Systems (WHMIS) (an asset – annual training is provided)
- You have knowledge of material management for major equipment and systems.
- You have a technical background (considered an asset)
- You demonstrate knowledge in material management ERP systems, procedures, and control of documentation.
- You must be flexible for work hours; the successful individual may be required to work early mornings, late afternoons, and on-call weekends.
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
