What Will You Be Doing?
The Manager, Ancillary oversees the staff, activities and resources of the Analytics and Ancillary Pricing team and reports to the Director of Ancillary and Revenue Analytics. The Manager and his/her team are responsible for managing and developing quantitative analysis for fares, working with Pricing and Revenue Management, and direct management of ancillary prices.
Essential Functions
- Create and develop a team to drive data-driven decisions by the Pricing and Revenue Management team
- Collaborate across PRM to create and deliver actionable analytic solutions
- Manage and evolve Frontier's ancillary pricing strategy through machine learning, AI and other pricing strategies
- Prioritize incoming requests for developmental report changes and participation in new projects, and ensure that analysts are successful in their assignments
- Develop/participate in analytical report development with PRM team to maintain competitive advantage
- Work closely with relevant data partners to deliver ancillary optimization benefits
- Collaborate with ancillary offer management to enhance revenue optimization
- Manage evaluation of team members, including skill sets, skill development and regular reviews in line with department policies
- Communicate to senior leadership key ancillary trends and present opportunities for furthering Total Revenue Optimization
- Run Frontier LABS (Leadership and Business Series) Lectures – an external-speaker(s) series focusing on different areas of business, technology and organizational efficiency
Other Functions
- Supervise the teaching / training of analysts
- Maintain good communication within the department as well as with other departments
- Leadership and team building
- Monitor and manage analysts as it relates to maximizing revenues
- Manage and develop direct reporting employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Finance, Aviation Management or related analytical field required; combination of education and relevant experience considered in lieu of degree requirement
- 3+ years of experience in pricing or similar field, with experience in machine learning in pricing strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in airline analytics, ancillary revenue, pricing, revenue management, and/or finance
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Knowledge of airline commercial metrics, economics, network design and revenue principles
- Master Excel user and willing to learn/navigate Navitaire APO Module
- General SQL knowledge
- Excellent analytical and intuitive revenue analysis / forecasting skills
- Ability to efficiently summarize and report on company revenue production
- Ability to quickly identify revenue improvement opportunities
- Strong leadership skills
- Familiarity with airline operations and management principles preferred
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
