JOB PURPOSE
At easyJet we are leading an exciting transformation agenda, the Business Change Manager is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of a transformation strategy by leading, overseeing and facilitating the embedding activities. Within the Business Change team, the Business Change Manager will deliver a range of Business Change services to drive engagement, adoption and embedding of change initiatives to support realisation of business outcomes and benefits.
The Business Change Manager has responsibility of the end to end change management strategy, plan and interventions/artefacts to ensuring our people change their ways of working, habits, behaviours and the processes they follow to achieve the desired business outcomes. The Business Change Manager may work across a full range of initiatives within easyJet’s portfolio and depending on the complexity and scale of the change, Business Change Managers may be responsible for leading the change management efforts across several projects/programmes simultaneously
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Act as a trusted partner to Project Sponsors and Business Leads, leading and owning the business change strategy, approach and activities on change programmes
- Lead on change management efforts to drive a deep understanding of change impacts and organisations change readiness in complex environments through change impact assessments and stakeholder analysis
- Employ appropriate change management methodologies to create conditions for a smooth transition that enables transformational change to embed
- Work in collaboration with other change activation teams (e.g Organisation Design, HR Business Partners, L&D, Internal Communications and Industrial Relations) to ensure the embedding of transformational change
- Create and deliver tailored agile change plans and creative interventions such as; culture hacking, coaching, learning and development or communication to accommodate the needs of different stakeholder groups impacted by the change
- Lead the measurement and analysis of change adoption and manage change embedding risks, promptly addressing doubts and uncertainty surrounding the change to foster acceptance and adoption
- Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring to Sponsors and Business Leads on how to lead change effectively, and people managers on leading teams through change
- Lead the training and capability activities ensuring training needs are accurately captured and relevant training plans and interventions are in place for impacted communities, liaising with Learning & Development teams where required
- Provide Business change management industry best practices to project, product and leadership teams ensuring people adoption and embedding activities are considered
- Own the transition planning and business readiness activities to ensure communities are equipped, ready and able to change their ways of working
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- Confident in leading change using a range of delivery methods, including agile, waterfall and hybrid, understanding the nuances and requirements
- Certified in change management (e.g. APMG/Prosci) with end-to-end change management experience (from building change strategies to transition and embedding planning)
- High level of flexibility with a proven record of leading others successfully through cultural, process, system, behaviour and transformational change
- Curious with a strong desire to understand more about business problems, change impacts, change initiatives and ways of working
- Detailed knowledge of business environments and direct hands-on business experience preferable - in particular, understanding the management structures, politics and culture of the organisations owning change
- Resilient and able to work under pressure, skilled at handling complexity, ambiguity and uncertainty
- Skilled communicator with the ability to interpret and make sense of complexity through both written and verbally communication mechanisms
- Excellent collaborator, with the ability to work and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
- Has a self-starter mentality with a strong desire and ability to make things happen
