The Role
You’ll join the Safety Services Group, where you will own and deliver tasks that ensure submarines and submariners go to sea safely.
What you’ll do:
- Safety Case Management: Provide support to Submarine Safety Case management processes.
- Technical Documentation: Author technical documentation related to safety matters.
- Innovation: Develop new safety innovations to enhance submarine availability and risk management.
- Safety legislation: Oversee compliance with safety legislation, such as Defence Safety Authority (DSA) regulations.
- Hazard Management: Implement Hazard Management and Hazard Identification and Analysis (HIA) techniques to identify and mitigate risks.
What you’ll need:
- Degree qualified or equivalent in a STEM discipline.
- Accredited by a relevant engineering institution, working towards accreditation, or a willingness to progress an application.
- Demonstrable experience working within safety engineering is considered an advantage.
- Excellent communications skills and experience of stakeholder management.
- A drive to own and shape your career development journey.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
