Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) is seeking a Quality Inspector with circuit card assembly (CCA) inspection experience to join collaborative Quality Team. This is an on-site position in Kirkland, WA. Hours are on 1st Shift, Monday ~ Friday, eight hours per day with a 30-minute meal break.
JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector will work from blueprints, engineering change notices, or established operating procedures to perform a wide range of inspection procedures and determine acceptance, rejection, or rework requirements at various stages of production.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works from drawings, procedures, and specifications utilizing non-complex measuring devices (where necessary) to perform inspection of purchased parts, materials, components, electronic hardware, circuit card assemblies and equipment as materials are received from vendors or subcontractors
- Inspect in-process and/or finished production assemblies and subassemblies for conformance to drawings and quality assurance standards
- Assists in determining methods, sequences, and procedures necessary for inspection
- Interpret and apply the requirements of Industry workmanship standards, ES procedures and EPS procedures in Inspection process
- Identify condition (problem) and write up Non-Conformances in clear concise way
- Review validates and correct FAI paperwork from suppliers
- May perform Shipping Inspection duties such as verification of shipping paperwork, part labeling, part count and packaging
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Demonstrates familiarity (typically 1-2 years of direct experience in the duties and responsibilities of the position)
- Experience with circuit card assembly (CCA) inspection is required
Technical Skills:
- Quality Control Analysis – Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
- Familiarity with IPC standards and procedures
- Experience conducting visual and first-article inspections
- Skilled in using inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and AOI’s, etc.
- Proficiency with MS Office products to include the ability to use MS Excel
- Ability to learn a variety of business systems
- Strong attention to detail

- As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible.

Base salary is $20.12 - $27.22 per hour.
