This position provides opportunities to influence the strategic direction of Indirect and Direct by using data and analytics to identify opportunities to optimize revenue.
•   This role is a part of the B2B Data and Sales Tools team within the Data Management group.

What you'll do

•   Manage projects to enhance and develop data, models, and analytic processes that support Sales and Revenue
•   Works effectively with internal and external partners (vendors and other organizations within American Airlines)
•   Utilize various databases and programming languages to process data and perform statistical analysis.
•   Identify and implement best practices related to business processes, data governance, and automated solutions.
•   Responsible for validation, data cleansing, maintenance, and reinforcing data integrity to business rules and standards.
•   Keep abreast of industry solutions and ensure that AA leads the analytical space to increase our competitiveness.
•   Training and supporting systems end users.
•   Develop reporting and Ad-hoc analysis.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

•   Bachelor’s degree with significant coursework in a STEM discipline such as data analytics, data science, MIS, mathematics, economics, finance, computer science, engineering, operational research, etc.) or equivalent training/experience
•   Prior experience in the following: SQL, Teradata or Databricks, and BI Tools such as Tableau or Power BI
•   4 years’ experience querying, managing, and organizing large data sets and applying quantitative reasoning to complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• MS, MBA, or other advanced degree in technical, quantitative, or business discipline
• Working knowledge of SQL, SAS, R, Python, Java, or other relevant programming languages

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Microsoft Power BI Analyst preferred.
