JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Plant Manager will assist to ensure that all projects are completed on time, and meet high quality standards. The Assistant Plant Manager will work closely with
our Plant Manager to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources and timeframes for projects. The chosen candidate will perform various coordinating tasks, like
schedule and maintaining project documentation. To succeed in this role, you should be a self-starter with strong competency to work independently, and have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with other employees to deliver results within deadlines. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the Plant Manager in all aspects of projects from start to finish.
Review drawings to determine compliance with design.
Attend coordination meetings.
Prepare requisitions for material orders.
Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure the project is completed within the determined deadline.

Schedule deliveries and coordinate plant labour.
Keep up-to-date records of submittals and review drawings.

Must Have Skills

Professional experience working in the environment of steel fabrication and/or construction, welding, structures and estimating complex projects.
Experience in construction projects within the expected scope, quality, schedule, and budget.
Experience must span the full cycle of a project.
Experience with AUTOCAD and Microsoft Office
