Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an
Administrative Assistant to join our Strategy and Growth organization. The selected candidate will provide office management and executive administrative support to the Vice President and Leadership Team. This position will be located in
Falls Church VA. This role requires full time onsite support; remote or teleworking will not be considered for this role.

Position Overview
In this position you will work closely with senior executives, customers and government representatives, both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will have outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization and with outside organizations/customers; the ability to protect and maintain confidentiality; and the ability to execute tasks and projects independently. To be successful you must be an exceptional team player, proactive, self-motivated, well-organized and detail oriented. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must provide excellent follow-through, exercise good judgment, demonstrate flexibility and agility, manage schedule conflicts and prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

Roles and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Providing administrative support to the program leadership as assigned
- Collecting and preparing information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and external customers
- Analyzing data to determine root cause of complex problems and to identify solutions
- Facilitating program meetings, executive meetings, customer visits, and other events
- Arranging executive level travel arrangements to include reservation of the company plane
- Demonstrating a wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered at the executive level
- Operating independently to meet the requirements of the leadership team and offering expertise to assist other functions within organization
- Report generation and compilation
- Handling details of a highly confidential and critical nature
- Making high level contacts of a sensitive nature both within and outside of the company
- Exercising strong judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
Basic Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- High school diploma and a minimum of 6 years' experience in the administrative professional field or a Bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience in the administrative professional field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) to maintain calendars, coordinate meetings and compose briefings, reports, correspondence and memorandum
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and interface effectively at all levels within the organization while protecting and maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to assess priorities and manage multiple administrative tasks
- Proficiency in business and travel expense system (Concur or similar)
- Experience in planning and providing logistical support for meetings and events
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business need
Preferred Qualifications
- An active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience in reviewing and editing written material for correct spelling and grammar
- Familiarity and experience working with Northrop Grumman systems (SAP, Concur, IBUY, iTrip)
- Knowledge of NGC resources, polices, and procedures
- Advanced experience with Concur (or similar) travel and expense reporting system
- Experience supporting senior level management/customers in a dynamic program environment

This is a non-exempt, hourly position.
Salary Range: $31 - $51
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
