The Product and Solutions Specialist role is responsible for managing the Products portfolio, enhance, and customize it to the market.
Our mission in the Products department is to ensure that we satisfy the markets' needs and fill the gaps through our products portfolio. To achieve this, we need to understand market dynamics including industry trends, traveler trends and competitive landscape. In close collaboration with commercial colleagues, as well as through market research & direct interaction with customers, we translate the needs into actionable inputs for product evolution.
Product and Solutions Specialists are also responsible for successful launch of our products, by developing the necessary sales enablers (pricing, promotion, launch strategy)
Responsibilities
o Responsible for managing the Amadeus products portfolio, launching new products, internal testing, positioning the product and piloting with customers.
o Responsible for product implementations, training customers, product support, and sales analysis.
o Marketing the portfolio of products by setting the customers pipeline, deciding on the channel to reach them, and creating the advertising content.
o Analyze market research to determine the positioning and the trends of the products. Analyze the product performance profitability and sales success. Recommend upgrades, revision or end of life/replacement to encourage the differentiation in the market.
o Prepare the launch with the marcomm team, provide content for documentation and prepare key events for the launch.
o Work closely with the development team for the correct execution of the product as for the fine tuning and for the delivery.
o Drive the product plan including timing, pre-launch and launch activities regarding technical and functional side of the product in cooperation with the technical services, the product area and the customer care specialist.
o Data management and reporting analysis to monitor productivity and setting new marketing plans accordingly.
o Create standard and tailor-made presentations and demo scripts for sales units.
o Participate in customer forums and industry meetings representing Amadeus.
o Handle end to end market-level projects, product migrations and competitive intelligence.
o Work closely with several different teams such as marketing, sales and customer support to ensure proper communication between departments concerning the product positioning, selling and support.
o Identify and analyze business requirements coming from customer, consolidate customer needs into new product concepts or enhancements.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree
At Least 2 years in a product management, product marketing, pre-sales or IT sales position within the travel industry, preferably within the travel agency environment.
Experience in branding and/or product positioning
Excellent people and management skills necessary to interact effectively with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
Positive and collaborative attitude, proactive and growth mindset
Good understanding of problem discovery, sales enablement, product lifecycle management, and product strategy.
