L3Harris, a leader in defense technology and communications solutions, is actively seeking a Communications Analysis Engineer or an Electronic Warfare (EW) Analysis Engineer to join our innovative team. This role is critical in providing advanced technical expertise in the realm of communications systems and EW for DoD programs and collaborative research initiatives. Your focus will be on the cutting-edge design, analysis, simulation, and implementation support of algorithms.

Technical Experience and Education Required:
- Leadership in algorithm design, analysis, simulation, and implementation support for complex designs in Software Defined Processing elements.
- Proficiency in MATLAB or equivalent analytical tools.
- In-depth knowledge of EW systems or Communication systems analysis.
- Strong background in algorithm development, simulation, and documentation.
- Experience with Software Defined Radios and Digital Signal Processing.
- Proficiency in laboratory debug techniques using signal generators, digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices.
- Solid understanding of requirements analysis and management.
- Familiarity with code revision management tools such as Git.
- Exposure to digital filters, Forward Error Correction (FEC), FPGA design, Networking, and programming languages such as C, C++, and C#.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related software engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Areas of desired experience or education include:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 9+ years of experience, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 7+ years of experience, or PhD with 4+ years of experience required.
- Expertise in Electronic Support (ES) architecture and Electronic Attack Systems.
- Familiarity with communications systems architecture, particularly focusing on the physical layer.
- Experience with high-rate, satellite, and spread spectrum communication systems.
- Knowledge of LPD/AJ Systems, non-linear signal processing, MIMO, and Phased Array Processing.
- Proficiency in VHDL (preferred) or Verilog development languages.
- Experience implementing complex modem and/or DSP circuits SW or programmable logic using FPGA devices. Equivalent experience in ASIC design is also applicable.
- Proficiency in simulation, synthesis, and placement software tools such as ModelSim, Synplicity, Xilinx Vivado / ISE, and/or Altera Quartus development tools.
- Experience with Simulink
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $129,600 - $240,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
