Job Summary

The Manager Digital Product delivers on our Purpose by leading a digital product Team composed of direct and indirect reports to identify problems to solve and build new digital solutions in customer web and app experiences.This role will ensure the Team has the resources and capabilities to learn about evolving business needs, industry trends, and advancements in the fields of marketing, customer experience, user experience, and digital. The Manager Digital Product is an innovative thinker who looks forward to managing a Team in a dynamic environment.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. Responsibilities
- Lead product teams to craft compelling product strategy to drive business goals within the sphere of responsibility and maintain a clear product roadmap and backlog for effective alignment with stakeholders
- Build effective digital experience leveraging the strengths of the product team that achieve an objective and delight users
- Determine ways to leverage technology to solve goals and comfortable leveraging new technologies
- Deliver on business objectives and improve product key performance indicators while encouraging a testing and learning philosophy
- Lead individual contributors within Digital Products to deliver on product objectives best leveraging our available resources, and doing so in a cost-effective manner
- Foster a data-influenced approach by guiding the team to leverage the most effective ways to surface product problems and design solutions leveraging the strengths of the team
- Lead the team to develop business cases for product changes that may require additional resources and skills which require executive sponsorship and support
- Ensure the team has the resources and capabilities to learn about evolving business needs, industry trends, and advancements in the fields of marketing, customer experience, user experience, and digital.
- Develop strong and trusting relationships to enable effective collaboration with Southwest business teams, Southwest technology teams, and with Southwest partners and customers
- Deliver clear, concise, and focused communication with team, leaders, and partners while encouraging candid communication within the team
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to leverage situational leadership and strengths to develop and coach team members
- Ability and disposition to work in cross-functional and matrixed working environments
- Ability to indirectly and directly influence and motivate others to achieve and objectives
- Ability to lead a cross-functional team comprised of product owners, user experience designers, analytics, and user researchers
- Ability to assume a high level of responsibility and to provide direction in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment
- Ability to use and evangelize a scientific and hypothesis-driven approach to product management leveraging customer research, market research, and a test and learn development approach to develop solutions to problems that are data-inspired and validated upon launch leveraging A/B testing
- Ability to develop creative solutions to complex difficult challenges leveraging digital platform capabilities (iOS, Android, browser platforms, etc.) as well as the capabilities of the Southwest digital stack (personalization, targeting, A/B testing, reservation system capabilities, etc)
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
- Fully functioning, broad knowledge in
- Product management
- Strategic planning
- Technology strategy
- Technology management
- Corporate strategy or business consulting
- Preferred: Experience in leading a team, working with tech and cross-functional teams, working with business stakeholders, A/B testing, usability testing, building and launching digital products.
Preferred: Experience in Agile, Jira, Wrike, Miro, Figma, Microsoft Office, SharePoint/Teams.
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $131,000 - $145,500 depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the
discretion of the company.
