About the team you are joining
The Commercial Excellence team is responsible for driving commercial excellence in supporting systems, processes, and tools to ensure that the Commercial Products and Services team it is part of is able to conduct business with customers effectively and efficiently in terms of contracting, invoicing and collections. Essentially it performs the support and administrative functions of the commercial team.
Reporting to the Contract Office Manager, the core responsibility of the role is to perform the end-to-end back-office tasks for suppliers (PtP) or customers (OtC) for the Lines of Business (LoBs) and processes in scope, particularly Events, Sales and Marketing. The most critical process, Order-to-Cash (OtC), includes contracting and billing.
What your day would be like
Your day-to-day responsibilities would include:
- Understanding the business need and ensuring you have all necessary data to fulfil it.
- Training stakeholders on approval processes and their requirements.
- Performing OtC activities from beginning to end on assigned contracts/sales orders:
* Contracting and billing in SAP
* Making sure LoBs follow SOPs when raising requests and
* Occasionally chasing payments with customers.
- Sharing best practices with the Contract Office team.
- Performing PtP activities on assigned contracts
- Helping the Marketing team with assigned back office tasks
- Any other tasks assigned by the Contract Office Manager
We would love to hear from you if you meet the following criteria
- University degree in Business
Administration or equivalent and some work experience in back-office,
operations or similar. Ability to work effectively in an international and
multicultural fast-paced team environment.
- Hands-on with a willingness to learn/figure
things out. Persistent and positive can-do approach.
- Ability to work
efficiently and effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong sense of customer
service, ownership, and accountability. Self-motivated.
- Proven organizational skills with the
ability to handle multiple queries simultaneously while maintaining attention
to detail. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent English skills (verbal &
written), knowledge of other languages is an asset.
- Highly computer literate, with willingness
to learn about more about the SAP ERP, particularly Sales and
Distribution Module
