Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an
Associate Project Management/ Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located
onsite in
Redondo Beach, California.

Our Project Managers manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Essential Functions
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects related to F-35 Teammate Furnished Equipment (TFE) covering all Supply Chain-related aspects of the TFE Statement of work (schedule, cost, quality, technical). Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving. Leads cross-functional project teams in support of execution of SOW. Interfaces directly with customer. Acts as CAM (Control Account Manager) for high value Control Accounts.
Schedule
Maintains Line of Balance visibility. Assesses schedule risks related to supplier deliveries and support of customer/program requirements. Directs cross functional teams to resolve issues. Makes recommendations on trades between schedule and cost.
Cost
Manages material Control Accounts related to the TFE Statement of work. Duties include baselining, monitoring, material forecasting, variance analysis and potential audit support. Works with Material Cost Management, Subcontracts and Procurement to manage control accounts proactively and progressively. Makes recommendations on trades between cost and schedule.
This role can be filled as an Associate Project Manager or a Project Manager depending on the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications
Associate Project Management (Level 1):
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree with 0 years OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with 4 years of experience. Experience must be in the following: Supply Chain; Project Management, Business Management Sustainment, Proposals, Resource Planning, Accounting, Program Management, Program Scheduling, Program Cost Analysis, Program Integration, Subcontracts Administration, Procurement, or other Global Supply Chain related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Project Management (Level 2)
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years, Master's Degree with 0 years of experience, OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with 6 years of experience. Experience must be in the following: Supply Chain; Project Management, Business Management Sustainment, Proposals, Resource Planning, Accounting, Program Management, Program Scheduling, Program Cost Analysis, Program Integration, Subcontracts Administration, Procurement, or other Global Supply Chain related field
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace manufacturing background
- Knowledge of EVMS, familiarity with earned value concepts
- Control Account Management (CAM) experience
- Familiarity with F-35
- SAP Experience
- Presentation skills & project execution
- Interface with multi-level employees and leadership
Salary Range: $59,600 - $89,400
Salary Range 2: $72,100 - $108,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
