Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized recruiting firm that is currently seeking 3 Machining Technicians for a reputable manufacturer in Ladson, SC.
Compensation:$23.00/hr with an increase to $25.41/hr upon the completion of training.
Shift Information:
- Training on 1st shift (Mon - Fri, 7:00am - 3:30pm)
- Once training is completed, the employee will be moved to 2nd or 3rd shift. At a minimum, a month's notice will be provided.
- 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm, Mon - Fri)
- 3rd shift (11:00pm to 7:30am Sunday - Friday)
- Additional increases available as you complete certain levels on the job.
Summary:
- Working from layouts and dimensions on drawings and reading manual gauges
- Load, align, set up machines per drawing instructions and maintain quality production records.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior machining background is preferred, or a graduate of machining or toolmaker program, or ex-military in a mechanical/electrical related field.
- Prior exposure to blueprints is helpful
- Must possess strong math skills (decimal conversion and geometry) and has previously used hand tools
- Will be required to complete a standard company-specific mechanical skills assessment
- Must be able to pass pre-employment checks (drug testing, background and visual exam)
- Dependable with an eager attitude and willingness to learn
- Maintain consistency and take pride in your work
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and enjoys troubleshooting
