The Operations and Growth Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring optimal performance, and driving cost efficiencies. This role also supports the organization's strategic goals related to growth, quality, and safety standards. As a key leader, you will foster a KPI-driven culture, guide transformation initiatives, and work closely with customers and partners to enhance Swissport Morocco’s value proposition.
Job Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day Operations
- Oversee, monitor, and evaluate operational performance to ensure efficiency, productivity, and compliance with Swissport’s global standards.
- Lead and support the organization’s goals on growth and revenue targets.
- Drive standardization and a KPI-driven culture to optimize efficiencies and control costs.
- Monitor and oversee quality and safety procedures, ensuring adherence to Swissport’s International Safety and Quality Standards.
- Ensure resource optimization, including workforce and equipment, to meet operational demands effectively.
Strategic Growth Initiatives
- Drive efficiency and cost management through projects such as Swissport Values, Productivity Improvement Initiatives, Performance Management, and Process Re-engineering.
- Support the implementation of new technologies to achieve cost reductions through automation.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.
Team Leadership
- Lead, guide, evaluate, and develop a team with operational responsibilities, fostering a high-performing culture.
- Drive and implement transformation projects within the department to increase organizational effectiveness and cost efficiencies.
Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE)
- Support the implementation of the Safety Management System and Quality System in accordance with ISO Standards.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with QHSE standards, promptly reporting non-compliance events.
- Promote a safety-first culture and continuous improvement in safety practices across operations.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Master’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in operational management, ideally in the aviation industry.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and leading transformation projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office and operational performance tools.
- Meticulously organized, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French; additional languages are advantageous.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to quality, safety, and efficiency.
