Job Summary
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in the financial and accounting management of the company. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate maintenance of accounts, the reliability of financial information, and compliance with applicable regulations. You will also be tasked with providing precise and timely analyses that are essential for strategic decision-making. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders (auditors, consultants, etc.), you will uphold high standards of accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.
This position requires advanced expertise in accounting, taxation, and reporting, combined with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and structured environment. You will play a critical role in optimizing accounting processes and supporting the company’s strategic initiatives.
Your activities
Accounting Section
- Ensure approval of supplier invoices and check their compliance with purchase orders and delivery order.
- Control of the invoices and ensure their compliance with delivery dates following the new law on payment deadlines
- Ensure the accounting of supplier invoices within defined deadlines in SAP.
- Ensure the analysis and clearing of supplier accounts.
- Monitoring of contracts and certification of suppliers’ tax regularity and ensuring their authenticity.
- Ensure the conservation and archiving of accounting documents in accordance with the regulation.
- Insure customer invoicing and their accounting in SAP
- Ensure the analysis and clearing of customer accounts.
- Ensure payments accounting in SAP (Suppliers and customers)
- Bank reconciliation on a monthly basis.
- Ensure the conservation and archiving of accounting documents in accordance with the regulation
Tax Section
- Preparation and filing of monthly tax returns (TVA-RAS-IR)
- Preparation and filing of quarterly tax returns (Délai de paiement- Paiements des acomptes IS- Office des changes)
- Preparation and filing of annual tax returns (Liasse fiscale - Taxe professionnelle.)
- Guarantee the filing and monitoring of VAT refund files.
- Preparation of tax regularity certificates
- Monitor the evolution of tax regulations and ensure their implementation.
Reporting Section
- Insure monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting to SPI Group in the defined deadlines.
Ensure Compliance With Procedures
- Participate in the implementation of procedures related to your area of expertise.
- Ensure adherence to existing accounting procedures and propose updates whenever modifications or changes are made.

Your profile
Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (Bac+4) or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably within an international organization.
Communication Skills
- Strong editorial and written communication abilities.
Language Proficiency
- Fluent in French and English.
Travel Requirements
- National travel as required.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in SAP.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Core Competencies
- In-depth understanding of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Strong knowledge of finance regulations and tax laws.
- Expertise in Moroccan accounting law (CGNC) and Moroccan tax law.
- Commitment to ethical standards and professional integrity.
- High level of rigor, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
