Full-time, 2-Shift Pattern (Morning / Afternoon)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Inspector to join the Components and Modules team in the Experimental Operations business that is part of Civil ET&S based in Derby.We are at the cutting edge of civil aviation, developing the next generation of sustainable travel, whether that be through insertion of enhancements to our current engine offerings, revolutionary technology demonstrator programmes such as the UltraFan Project or exploring how we can utilise emerging technologies such as Electrification and Hydrogen in the civil aerospace market.

You will work as part of a highly skilled team who contribute towards capturing vitally beneficial data found from testing development engines to certify and prove new engine products as well as maturing our current products. You will report directly to a Production Leader for the facility.

What you will be doing
In this role you will work to Rolls-Royce Technical Instructions to deliver consistent, high-quality inspection across a variety of different components and product families.
- Program and operate a Hexagon CMM.
- Interpret manufacturing drawings, customer drawings and written specifications.
- Assess whether the quality of components produced within the facility meets the required standards.
- Work within a team to effectively resolve quality issues and ensure your work is being completed to plan.

- Time-served engineering apprenticeship with an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or other equivalent.
- Inspection and CMM experience.
- Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, dimensional and visual inspection.
- Computer literate.
- Active and patient individual capable of managing your time effectively.
