ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
SITA specializes in making flight operations, air traffic management, and aircraft maintenance more efficient, helping our customers to improve their operations and supporting them on their sustainability goals.
We are looking to staff a cockpit technical service analyst within the SITA Aircraft Communications engineering team located in Montreal downtown. As part of our Datalink core team, you will get to actively work with aviation domain experts, developers, and avionics engineers and help them with requirements definition, functional specification and service design.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Participates in the gathering, management and analysis of requirements and specifications to design services or applications for own areas of responsibility.
- Contributes to the elaboration of adequate documentation for the architecture, design, specification, development, unit testing, integration, and deployment phases of delivered services and applications.
- Perform technical research when necessary to assist the engineering team members with specific needs (e.g. specialized tools, APIs, etc.)
- Participate and contribute to Aviation standardization activities.
- Specify and Design communication systems and services, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including avionics engineers, software developers, and project managers, to integrate communication systems.
- Conduct system analysis and performance evaluations to ensure optimal functionality and reliability of communication services.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for communication systems during the development, testing, and operational phases.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in communication technologies and aerospace industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into designs.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and safety evaluations to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
EXPERIENCE:
- Technical Writing/Documentation
- Programing languages, Python, C/C++ or C#.
- Database and SQL Query language.
- Infrastructure & networks (Wide Area Networks, Satellite, Wireless)
- Operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Optionally JAMA (requirements and test automation)
- 1-2 years working in a complex software rich solution environment
- Graduate in Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunication, or equivalent.
