Overview:
This is a senior management position at UTAS India site. This role is to drive culture of CI at every level of organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead/facilitate lean event teams through learning, documenting and measuring the baseline process, setting targets to achieve a desired future state, quantifying improvement targets, implementing improvements and measuring progress.
- Train, share knowledge, engage and foster a culture of change using ACE methodologies.
- Interface with stakeholders across all levels and with other process experts to implement and sustain world-class manufacturing methods.
- Lead/facilitate Lean Leadership Weeks, Kaizen Events and other targeted initiatives to drive a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Provide training for the ACE Operating System, Six Sigma and other related topics to drive operational excellence.
- Facilitate benchmarking visits both within Collins Aerospace as well as with other best-in-class industries and drive effective implementation of lessons learned.
- Drive implementation of best practices across all value streams for India Manufacturing Operations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with business heads, department leaders and stakeholders at all levels for effective employee engagement.
- Motivated, passionate with high energy levels and with an ability to challenge the status quo and drive changes.
- Hands on experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods. Proven track record in change management and transformation.
- Able to work effectively in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge in Kannada would be beneficial.
- Drive culture of CI at every level of organization.
- Prior experience in overseeing for a complex or medium sized site to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of facilities.
- Prior experience in overseeing Material and Quality functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Engineering with industry 4.0 knowledge.
- 15-18 years of overall experience with at least 8-10 years of experience in leading lean initiatives and lean transformation.
- Six sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge and application of lean and six sigma methods.
