Position Summary
Designs components or products to develop or localization compressed air purification and filtration products while improving performance, VAVE or facilitating manufacturing operations. Designs products of diverse/difficult scope and complexity for assigned programs using a variety of engineering principles from mechanical, fluid dynamic, electrical, packaging, or other engineering disciplines. support to setup dryer manufacturing base.
Responsibilities
- Product development following up project management process from concept to production and make it successful including time plan, budget, cost and technical specification.
- Performs diverse and complex design, localization, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of compressed air purification and filtration equipments by applying engineering principles and developing new or unique analysis tools as required.
- Technical wise to work with cross functional teams to delivery products.
- Develops acceptance, engineering evaluation, development and qualification/certification test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Compiles and analyzes operation, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment or product.
- Prepares product layout and detailed drawings, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and schematics, interpreting customer and functional requirements.
- Develops critical data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, notes, and documentation necessary to present design proposals to customers.
- During the design, not only focus on performance of system, but also safety, environment and energy consumption.
- Supports workshop, service, sales, QA/QC and purchasing team on technical issues.
- Communicates with customers to identify new business opportunities, present Parker product capabilities, and clarify customer’s technical requirements.
- Refines and enhances products and processes by applying continuous improvement principles and techniques in design and manufacturing areas.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge and consistently applies established engineering practices, standards, and documentation methods.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g., continuous improvement).
- Assist supply chain with supplier development.
- Other duties as assigned by the leadership.
Qualifications
- BS Degree in engineering (preferred in Mechanical, process-equipment and/or thermal engineering).
- Minimum 8 years working experience.
- Compressed-air treatment, Adsorption dryer working experience is preferred.
- Familiar with pressure vessel code, product standards, DFMEA, Safety review and related legal requirement is plus.
- Strong computer skills required to efficiently utilize Word, Excel, Power Point, and AutoCAD, Inventor.
- Good command of English understanding both in writing and speaking
