Job Description:
Position Summary:
ADU - Automatic Drilling Unit
Responsible for providing technical and mechanical support on the ADU equipment at both the ADU shop and/or on the production line.
Setup, Repair and implement Automatic Drilling Units in collaboration with production needs.
Setup, Repair and implement Automatic Drilling Unit Fixtures and templates in collaboration with production needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the set-up, repair and implementation of ADU equipment for the Airbus FAL-USA, (A220-A320) based on Airbus best practices. Gives advice on best practices and records lessons learned.
Oversee the qualification of ADUs and support their entry into service.
Responsible for the adjustment of ADUs, cutting tools and drilling templates
Provide oversight and instruction to FAL employees using ADUs (provides limited instruction to employees using equipment - training)
Responsible for the on-going maintenance and repair of ADU’s
Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
A High School Diploma or Equivalent
Completed vocational training, secondary education or equivalent in mechanical or metals field and able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the type of mechanical work performed in the FAL ADU Shop.
Preferred to have completed a course on G-Suite or MS Office (Demonstrated proficiency is acceptable)
Experience will be considered in-lieu of technical education when accompanied by a completed high school or equivalent education.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industrial maintenance, maintenance of ADU’s, maintenance of test equipment or equivalent mechanical or technical type vocation e.g. Automotive transmission repair, engine overhauls, etc.
A vocational/technical certificate will be considered in-lieu of experience for entry level positions
Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):
Must be able to communicate in English either by written or spoken means
Must be able to proficiently use a PC and standard business programs (Word, Excel, Acrobat, Etc.)
Travel Required:
10% or less Domestic and International
