Position Summary:
The Legal and Contracts Administrator is responsible for supporting legal and compliance operations by managing contract review, administration, and due diligence processes. This role ensures adherence to export controls, sanctions compliance, and proper documentation workflows, while assisting in the preparation and execution of contracts and related documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:- Export Controls and Sanctions Compliance Support
- Review and adjudicate Visual Compliance alerts to ensure compliance with export controls and sanctions regulations.
- Assess Sales Order approval requests for [specific department, e.g., Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL)] to confirm adherence to relevant policies.
- Evaluate Compliance Certificates to ensure all necessary compliance requirements are met.
- Contract Due Diligence
- Conduct initial due diligence on various contracts, including tasks such as FAA searches, entity registry verification, and gathering internal approvals.
- DocuSign Administration
- Prepare and manage DocuSign envelopes for contract execution on an as-needed basis.
- Confirm readiness of contracts for signature, ensuring all prerequisites are satisfied.
- Contract Review
- Verify signatory authority and validate contract signatures for accuracy and legitimacy.
- Review signed contracts to confirm accuracy and readiness for countersignature.
- Ensure contracting party details are consistent with corresponding Compliance Certificates.
- Contract Administration
- Draft standard form contracts as required and ensure they meet organizational guidelines.
- Complete administrative tasks needed to finalize contracts within the system following activation.
Desired Credentials:- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience in legal administration, contracts management, or compliance support preferred.
- Paralegal certificate and experience are a plus.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of export controls, sanctions regulations, and contract management principles.
- Proficiency in DocuSign and other document management tools.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and corporate entity registry searches is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Visual Compliance or similar export control platforms.
