Job Overview And Responsibilities
Candidates selected for United’s Cybersecurity Early Career Digital Leadership Program will commit to at least three (3) six-month rotations in Cybersecurity and one (1) optional six-month rotation in Digital Technology or Internal Audit for a total of 2 years. Candidates will work across at least two separate portfolios in both technical and process-oriented roles, gaining cross-portfolio knowledge and increasing their overall cybersecurity acumen at United. Based on team placement, candidates may receive the opportunity to work directly with others in the program. All candidates regardless of team will receive opportunities for continuous growth through technical, personal and leadership events outside of their direct role.
If selected for the Cybersecurity Rotational Program, candidates will be given detailed assignment overviews and self-select into a role-based interest ranking and skillset. Roles will be awarded based on seniority in the program. Specific duties and training requirements will vary based on the team placement within Cybersecurity and Digital Risk

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working on a fast pace, results oriented team in a summer internship capacity
- Experience working on individual tasks and projects independently with little direction
- Exceptional technical, analytical and problem solving skills required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity
- Successful completion of Digital Technology Summer Internship Program
- At least one 12 week summer internship in Digital Technology at United Airlines
- Skills in the following tools: Python, Data Analysis, ServiceNow, AWS, Excel, Linux, PowerBi
- Foundational United specific digital technology knowledge acquired in 12 week internship
The base pay range for this role is $64,885.00 to $88,440.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
