Job Description:
As the IT Project Manager, you will be expected to have the leadership and project management skills required to lead medium to large scale infrastructure, applications, and security projects consisting of IT and functional business area resources located around the world. Ability to direct, inspire, and guide teams to successful execution. Lead with courage, confidence, passion, and commitment. Exhibit entrepreneurial leadership skills. You will also be expected to understand and apply advanced processes and methods used with an IT organization to support the project management methodology lifecycle. As the IT Project Manager your role is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and budgets in a matrix environment. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. You will also define the project's tasks and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.
Essential Functions:
Develop full-scale project plans, timelines and associated communications documents to effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Direct and manage project development from initiating to closing through management of scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications, risks, changes, and issues.
Provide subject matter experience in managing infrastructure, network, security, and firewall projects.
Develop and deliver status reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Initiate and oversee all aspects of vendor management including the development of the Statement of Work and all aspects of communications and delivery.
Help facilitate Portfolio Management process working with management and business to understand project priority, resourcing, and planning.
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Coach, mentor, motivate and encourage project team members and contractors and influence them to take proactive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant IT project management experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related IT project management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related IT project management experience.
1+ years experience utilizing PMI’s Project Management Methodology, Software Development Lifecycle, and Agile/Scrum Framework.
Preferred Additional Skills:
PMP Certification in Project Management.
Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project and/or Project Online.
PM experience in testing processes to include use-case creation and tracking results.
Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $97,500-$180,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area and New York City, the salary range for this role is $112,000-$208,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
