Job Description:
Seeking dynamic self-starter with relevant experience in sales, business development, or capture selling high tech products or services. This opportunity focuses on selling L3Harris displays, processors, and engineering capabilities to prime airframers and retrofit end users. Reporting to the Director of Business Development for Displays and Advanced Processing, this position works best if onsite at L3Harris Palm Bay location Alternate onsite L3Harris locations or Remote might may be considered on a case basis for an exceptionally qualified candidate. This position will primarily focus on identifying, shaping, and bidding new technology development opportunities. Existing relationships with airframer primes and/or government end users a plus.
Essential Functions:
- Impacts customer acquisition strategies in favor of L3Harris by rapidly becoming an expert in L3Harris products, capabilities and solutions; understanding how to apply our capabilities to address customer requirements and close operational gaps; and is an expert in presenting this information to shape customer new business opportunities. Successfully advocates internally for resources to win.
- Ability to conform to L3Harris Common Capture Process.
- Manages new business identification, development and capture throughout the business development cycle from planning, targeting and gathering information through proposing and eventual closure of the capture.
- Continuously maintains the CRM system up to date on all opportunities.
- Develops bid & win strategies, competitive intelligence and PTW (price-to-win) for assigned pursuits
- Credibly serves as the unquestioned ‘voice of the customer’
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance
- Prior success as Capture Manager, Proposal Manager or BD lead.
- Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite of applications - including Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
- Must be available to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Proven negotiating skills and successes.
- Has led the successful capture of one or more $10M+ programs
- Experience/familiarity with military displays and processing for a tactical environment
- Previous Military experience preferred, but not required
- Experience with CRM Systems
- Highly proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Teams, and a willingness to learn software as required
