About the team you are joining
CO2 Connect is providing
airlines and other industry stakeholders with the most accurate & trusted
CO2 emissions calculations, underlying data model and distribution capability,
fully aligned with industry standards. The team objectives are linked to
the following key principles:
Ensuring Airline data interests
are protected.
Consistent & transparent
CO2 Calculations are distributed across the industry based on the IATA Recommended
Practice, and using verified airline data.
Helping airlines demonstrate
their commitment to sustainability.
The CO2 emissions data
services include IATA CO2 Connect for both passenger and cargo, and were
developed by IATA as part of IATA’s mission to support the sustainable
development of air transport, and mitigate its impact on the environment by
standardizing and harmonizing the calculation of CO2 data.
Reporting to the Senior
Product Manager, CO2 Data Solutions, the Assistant Product Manager is
responsible for assisting with defining new product enhancements, ensuring
those enhancements are delivered on time, monitoring usage of CO2 connect, and
gathering customer feedback to close the loop and recommend new enhancements.
Monitoring the wider market environment is important to ensure they assist the
Senior Product Manager in finding the right product/market fit for this New
Product Development. The assistant manager will work closely with the IATA
subject matter experts, regions and support functions (such as legal and ITS),
and will have frequent interaction with external stakeholders.
The Assistant Product
Manager may also be required to support other commercial BIS products around
Environment & Sustainability, such as with new product developments.
What your day would be like
- Support the launch of Cargo CO2
Connect by supporting marketing collateral development.
- Manage monthly newsletters for
the product, keeping key stakeholders informed.
- Ongoing market evaluation and
positioning of the existing CO2 Connect products to ensure it’s positioned
with a strong USP (unique selling proposition).
- Manage update meetings between
IATA stakeholders and external clients.
- Support work with sales teams
(NPD Sales) to ensure sales managers have the appropriate toolkit to
support CO2 Connect to external customers.
- Co-ordinate contractual
agreements between customers, SAP internal approval systems, and IATA
legal to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
- Support and at times project
manage the implementation of small enhancements to the CO2 Connect
calculator API or Flat file solutions.
- Manage the CO2 Connect team
email box.
- Provide feedback to IATA
internal teams on the product coming from customers or pilot customers.
- Support with any market
research tasks required.
- Help manage the creation of workshops
and webinars to better promote and create engagement for CO2 Connect.
We would love to hear from you if
- University degree (Bachelor or
Masters) preferably with a focus on Environment/Sustainability, data
and/or technology.
- Minimum 3 years of experience
in product management and/or operations in a customer facing role.
- Passion and experience working
on environment / sustainability related projects.
- An understanding of the airline
operations and systems would be an advantage.
- Experience developing and/or
implementing SAAS solutions would be an advantage.
- Ability and flexibility to work
on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and as part
of a team.
- Excellent customer and
relationship management skills.
- Appropriate technical skills,
particularly with MS Office programs and proficient creating polished
powerpoint slides.
- Excellent oral and written
communication skills in English. Other languages beneficial.
